Competition for celebrating the creativity of people with Parkinson’s!

Parkinson’s UK are holding their Mervyn Peake Awards 2011, where anyone suffering from Parkinson’s can enter artwork into the following 4 categories of the competition, which are Photograph, Poetry, Art or Digital art (films up to 2 minutes or digital images), with the chance of winning some top prizes and recognition of your work.

The awards are in memory of the artist and writer Mervyn Peake (1911–1968), who had Parkinson’s himself.

But you’d better hurry – The closing date for all entries is 13 April 2011 (now extended from 31 March) so get creating! See here for more details.
